Terms of Service
The agreement between you and the operator of this service.
Last updated 2026-09-14. This service is operated by Avasis ("we", "us"), the entity that appears on your receipt and card statement. Contact support@quantbase.live.
These terms have not been reviewed by a lawyer. They are written to describe accurately how the service actually behaves, which is the part we can be sure of. If you are relying on this service commercially, read them with that in mind.
1. What you are buying#
Access to a hosted research server over MCP, and the statistical corrections it computes. You are buying computation and record-keeping, not advice, not signals, and not a claim that any strategy will make money.
2. Not investment advice#
Nothing this service emits is investment advice. It produces no buy, sell or hold signals, no target prices and no position sizes. Backtested performance is not indicative of future results, and a result that passes every check in this system can still lose money in a live market. You are solely responsible for any trading decision you make, and for any loss arising from it.
3. The trial ledger is permanent#
The central feature of this service is that we count your trials and you cannot edit that count. Every configuration you evaluate is appended to a ledger and raises the statistical bar your later results must clear.
This is not a defect and we will not reset it. Support cannot lower it, a new family does not escape it, and deleting your account does not reissue it. If that is not what you want, this is the wrong service — which is why the free tier exists before you pay anything.
4. Accounts#
One tenant per mailbox. Addresses are canonicalised, so you+1@gmail.com and
you@gmail.com are the same account and share one trial count. Attempting to
obtain a fresh count by creating additional accounts is a breach of these
terms, and is the one thing we will suspend an account for.
You are responsible for keeping your API keys secret. Keys are shown once and stored only as a SHA-256 digest, so we cannot recover one for you — but you can revoke and reissue at any time from the console.
5. Plans, payment and refunds#
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Polar, our merchant of record. Prices are shown on the pricing section and may change with notice for future billing periods, never retroactively for one already paid.
You may cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for, and the plan then reverts to the free tier. If the service does not do what this documentation says it does, write to us and we will refund you. We would rather refund one customer than argue about it.
6. Fair use#
Plan limits — trials, holdouts, universe size, concurrent jobs — are published and enforced by the server. Deliberately circumventing them, or using the service to attack, overload or scrape infrastructure that is not yours, ends the agreement immediately.
7. Availability#
This is a single-operator service and there is no uptime guarantee. We aim to keep it running and to say so when it is not, but you should not build anything time-critical on the assumption that it will answer.
8. Your data#
What we store and why is described in the privacy policy. In short: your specs and results are yours, we do not sell them, and we do not train on them. Ask and we will export or delete your account data — except the trial count, which by design is not erasable while the account exists.
9. Liability#
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or decisions taken on the basis of anything this service computed.
10. Changes#
We will post changes here with a new date at the top, and material changes will be emailed to account holders before they take effect.
